Export and Publish Levels

How to export and share your levels, so everyone can try them out

Getting everything ready for exporting your levels

After your level is complete, there is some information that needs to be filled, so your level is able to export to the Steam Workshop. Regardless, here is everything you need before being able to upload your level:

  • main.adofai (and all its tutorial levels, if there are any)

  • Song file (and the tutorial level's songs, if there are any)

  • All images and videos used as decor or background

  • Artist Permission License Proof (image, document, etc. If needed)

Make sure all of these files are inside the same folder on your computer before continuing

Level Settings Export Form

On the editor, the Left bar has a tab with the name Level Settings. All the information required to upload your levels is filled there

To understand how each line should be properly filled, check the Editor Menu List - Level Settings section

Artist permission information

Many artists have authorized ADOFAI fans to use their music in their levels. For those artists, no new permission is required for your level. To check which artists are available, check this link:

7th Beat Adofai Verified Artists List

Note that artists can be authorized and just permit a specific group of their songs only, so make sure to check if your level's song is available to use before continuing

In case you are trying to use an artist that was yet not verified, follow the guidelines of these links:

Publishing Levels

To export your levels, so they can be played without having to upload them to the Steam Workshop, compact all the files into a .zip file and share the file with friends, communities and others through a direct link or using any recommended file storage website (CheckLocate levels files)

Editor - Export Screen

After filling all the information correctly, click on Export, this screen should appear.

Verify each section to confirm if your level's information is valid and agree with the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

Time to publish your level. Press Publish world to Steam Workshop, and all the contents plus the tutorial levels you included are now on Steam Workshop!
